This stallion has the capability to be the total all around sport horse with class and style. He is a very big, bold mover with tremendous extension. He has great potential for jumping, eventing, dressage and endurance. Over 200 years of controlled breeding for conformation (with good bone and feet), disposition, trainability, toughness, elegance and athleticism are in his pedigree. There are less than 300 purebred Shagyas in North America today. Discover what you have been missing and what you have been searching for in the "other" warmbloods and various crosses to achieve the ultimate sport horse. The European state stud farms have worked for two centuries to provide the type of horse you are seeking.Erik is a remarkable animal even by Shagya standards. He is so personable, gentle and easy to work with, that he is a true ambassador by winning over every person he meets.
Erik is the son of the imported stallion, *Shandor and Echo Daal. *Shandor is by the famous European stallion, Shagal, renowned for his athletic abilities and incredible beauty. *Shandor passes on his conformation, big frame and magnificent mind to his progeny. Echo Daal is the daughter of Hungarian Bravo, the foundation sire of the North American Shagya Society. Echo's dam is Dolly's Echo, one of the famous "original 9" arabian mares approved by the International Shagya Society to breed to Bravo. Hungarian Bravo was discovered at age 24, and was by *Pilot and out of *52 Gazal II, two horses brought to America, as war prizes, by General Patton. The 9 hand picked arabian mares were selected to preserve the phenotype and genotype, of Bravo, as very few Shagya mares resided in North America in 1986. Erik is carrying on these royal bloodlines and is one of only 20 NASS/ISG approved breeding stallions in North America today.
Erik was inspected by Claudio Conradty, of Germany, and Adele Furby, of Montana, as a two year old. Comments were "a large, quite well developed 2 year old of good Shagya type. A masculine head set on a good neck. Broad and deep body. Smooth coupled. Legs with good bone,Ordinary walk, free, elevated trot with good suspension, roundness and elasticity with a good canter for his age.

Approved for Shagya breeding."
